Options for an IRS

If the home has several TV points we can also install an ‘in home’ internal distribution system. With re-configuration, this would allow the digital receiver positioned in the Living room, to distribute the channel selected to all points in the Home. We would install an IR compatible distribution amplifier, and the resident would be able to change channels from another room with the use of ‘remote eyes’.
Alternatively we can install more than one Satellite point to allow the resident to use several Sky boxes.

A normal IRS delivers all the frequencies from the Sky Digital Satellite, but there are many European satellite channels available from other satellites such as German, Arabic, Italian, French, and Spanish. Frequencies from another satellite such as Eutlesat Hotbird 13° could be delivered on an IRS by having a 9-cable backbone system.

Houses, Individual Systems

Most developments of Houses do not have an IRS installed mainly because there is no management company set up to run any maintenance required, once the development is complete.
We do however install many individual House systems for developers.
This involves an internal distribution system as explained previously, with each House having it’s own Aerial, sometimes installed in the loft, and external satellite dish. This is very popular with residents as it gives them a built in digital ready versatile system, working when they move in.

IRS for Houses

If we are involved at build stage then we recommend that an IRS is installed on all new developments of High quality Houses. The main advantage apart from the benefits of the services an IRS provides, is that it eliminates the need for residents to install their own Aerials and Satellite Dishes, spoiling the appearance of the development.
If we are involved from the beginning we are able to advise on ductwork requirements and equipment positions to fit in with the build program.
